The International Market Place is one of Waikīkī's most iconic destinations — an open-air shopping and dining complex at 2330 Kalākaua Avenue, right in the heart of it all. But if you're visiting the IMP and wondering where to eat, drink, catch live music, or cap the night off with something memorable, there's one answer that covers all of it: ShoreFyre Fresh Grill & Bar.

We're located right inside the International Market Place, on an open-air lanai overlooking the complex's famous historic Banyan tree — one of the most striking natural landmarks in Waikīkī. Here's everything you need to know about dining and going out at the IMP, from breakfast through last call.

About the International Market Place

The International Market Place has been a Waikīkī landmark since 1957, originally a beloved open-air bazaar that became the heart of the neighborhood's social life. The complex was reimagined and reopened in 2016 as a modern, multi-level open-air center while preserving what made it special — most notably the massive, centuries-old Great Banyan Tree at its center, which still anchors the entire space today.

The IMP sits directly on Kalākaua Avenue, Waikīkī's main strip, steps from the beach and surrounded by hotels, galleries, and the energy of one of the most visited streets in the Pacific. It's a natural gathering place — for tourists and locals alike — and the kind of spot where a quick shopping trip easily turns into a full evening out.

Where to Eat at the International Market Place — ShoreFyre

ShoreFyre Fresh Grill & Bar is the IMP's all-day dining destination, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week from our open-air lanai perch above the Banyan tree. The setting alone is worth it — you're eating outdoors in the warm Waikīkī air, with views over the iconic tree below and the buzz of Kalākaua Avenue just beyond.

The menu is fresh, island-inspired, and built around bold flavors. For breakfast or brunch, the Signature 50/50 Loco Moco — an 8oz handmade patty blended with applewood smoked bacon and Angus chuck, over Hawaiian-style fried rice with gravy and two eggs — is the kind of dish that sets the tone for the whole day. Lunch and dinner bring the Kahuku Garlic Shrimp, fresh poke ahi tacos, the legendary 50/50 Fyre Burger, and the ShoreFyre Ribeye — 10oz Certified Angus Beef finished with crispy fried onions.

It's the kind of food that actually tastes like it was made in Hawaiʻi — because it was.

It's one of the best-value stops in the neighborhood — grab a lanai seat, order a Hawaiian Mai Tai or an OG Blue Hawaii, and watch Waikīkī shift into evening mode from above the Banyan tree. There's genuinely no better perch for it.

Live Music at the IMP

ShoreFyre features live music from local artists regularly at the IMP location — one of the few dining spots in the complex where you can eat, drink, and catch a live set in the same sitting. The open-air lanai acoustics make it feel intimate without being crowded, and the lineup rotates through some of Waikīkī's best local talent.

Check the live music calendar before you visit so you know what's playing — it's worth planning your evening around.

Nightlife at the IMP — Fyre by Night

When the shopping crowds thin out and the evening really gets going, ShoreFyre becomes something else entirely. Wednesday through Saturday from 10PM to 2AM, the IMP location transforms into Fyre by Night — Waikīkī's best late-night spot, with live DJs, dancing, bottle service, and an electric atmosphere that draws both visitors and locals who know where to go.

Free entry until 11PM with guest list sign-up. VIP tables available. It's the smoothest possible ending to a night that started with dinner on the lanai.

One Location, Every Part of the Day

What makes ShoreFyre at the International Market Place different from most dining options in the complex is the range. You can start your morning here with a loco moco and a Kona coffee, come back for happy hour drinks after a day at the beach, sit down to a proper dinner with cocktails as the sun sets over the Banyan tree, catch some live music, and then stay for the DJ set. Not many restaurants in Waikīkī can do all of that — in one place, with this kind of atmosphere.
